TonalStatic is built with a "Privacy by Design" philosophy. We believe that your relaxation and focus environments should be entirely private. This policy outlines why we require certain device permissions and confirms our commitment to zero data collection.

1. Data Collection & Usage

• No Personal Information: We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or location data.
• Local-Only Storage: Your "Saved Sounds" and library presets are stored locally on your device using persistent JSON. This data is not synced to any cloud server by us.
• No Tracking: TonalStatic contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising IDs, and no third-party tracking scripts.

2. Device Permissions

To ensure high-performance audio synthesis, the app requires specific system-level permissions:

• Foreground Service (Media Playback): On Android, this is required so the audio engine continues to run when the screen is off or the app is minimized.
• Battery Optimization Exceptions: To ensure the sleep timer works as intended, the app may request permission to remain active during low-power states.

3. Saved Sounds Sharing

The "Saved Sounds" feature generates a Base64-encoded string. This string contains only audio parameters (frequencies, filter types, and LFO settings). It contains zero identifying information about you or your device.

4. Children’s Privacy

TonalStatic is safe for all ages. Because we do not collect any user data, we do not knowingly or unknowingly process information from children under the age of 13.
